"Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first."

- Ernestine Ulmer

My fictional Double Ds love desserts. They believe in that old saying, "Dessert is just 'stressed' spelled backwards." While most of my Double Ds love chocolate and a chocolate dessert solves most everything but an expanding waist, one of their members, introduced in my current project, is allergic to chocolate. While this horrifies the group, they accommodate her needs. After all, what else would great friends do?

So, I'm including a non-chocolate dessert recipe below. My sister makes this as her daughter enjoys a dessert but has never cared for chocolate. Life has been hectic here lately and what's great about this dessert is it's not only scrumptious, but it takes very little time to make.
